Stella and Chewy's, a popular dog food manufacturer located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has issued a large voluntary recall on some of its products due to possible Listeria contamination. Thankfully there have been no pet illnesses reported yet, and the company is working diligently to notify consumers.

Late last wekk, the Maryland Department of Agriculture issued a stop sale order on one lot of 15 ounce Chewy's Chick Freeze Dried Dinner Patties for dogs. Shortly after the company released a statement on their website saying that they are working quickly to try and find the source of the issue, but until that time they are voluntarily recalling from Lot #111-115.

They also said that although they had not tested positive for Listeria, the company is also recalling a variety of products that may have been exposed to the affected lot. The statement says that the health and safety of customers and their pets is always a top priority for Stella & Chewy's, and that the company is accountable for every dinner and treat that they make. It goes on to say that they recognize that they have an important obligation to provide customers with the quality products they deserve and have come to expect from Stella & Chewy's over the years.
