Why Do Dogs Have Wet Noses?

Typically, a healthy dog's nose is moist and cool. Why do dogs have wet noses? Do all dogs have wet noses? Is it bad if your dog's nose is dry? I'll answer all of these questions in this article. I'm sure you've heard the common misconception that that if your dog's nose is dry it means that he sick. The reality is, the moisture level and temperature of your dog's body fluctuates all the time. This means that his nose could be cool and wet sometimes and dry and warm other times. It's not necessarily an indicator of your pet's health and wellbeing. What I'm trying to say is, just because your dog's nose dry, doesn't mean that he's sick.

Review: Greenbene Pet Grooming Vacuum

We have three dogs, and they all have different coat types. We have a Labrador who sheds excessively, a Beagle mix who is moderate shedder and a mixed breed who is a mild shedder. I try to keep the hair in one area, but there is always plenty that flies around.

All dogs shed, of course, but some shed much worse than others. Having a brush like the HappyDogz Magic Pro Deshedding Tool will help to reduce the shed hair around your home. Some deshedding tools are designed for specific dog sizes, coat types or coat lengths. While this is great for owners who only have one pet, it is a disadvantage if you have a multi-pet household.
