Making these homemade baked dog treats with zucchini is a great way to provide your pet with a healthy snack that you can feel good about. You have complete control over the ingredients you use, and you can cater them to your Fido’s needs and wants.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 cups oats
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup zucchini (grated)
  • 1 tbsp. molasses

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350° F.

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients and mix well until it forms a dough. It will be a moist dough, but it shouldn’t be sticky.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place small balls (about 1 tablespoon of dough) onto the parchment paper. Press the treats down until they’re about 1/4″ thick.

These baked dog treats with molasses should cook for about 40 minutes at 350° F. They will begin to turn brown when they are nearly finished baking.

Once the treats have cooled, you can feed them to your pup or prepare them for storage. Storage instructions can be found below.
