These donuts for dogs are made with peanut butter. Peanut butter is a favorite flavor for many dogs. Not only is peanut butter a great source of protein, it also has Vitamin B and E, niacin, heart healthy fats and many other nutrients that your dog’s body needs.

Just be careful that the peanut butter you purchase does not contain xylitol – it can be toxic to canines.

Ingredients

Scale

Donuts for Dogs

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 eggs

Topping

  • plain yogurt
  • bacon bits

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375˚ F.

Combine the flour, oats, coconut oil, peanut butter and eggs in a large mixing bowl. The dough will become stiff, so I use my hands to knead it until all of the ingredients are well blended.

If you have a donut pan, that will be the easiest way to make these treats. If not, you can just roll them out and put them on a well greased cookie sheet, like I did.

Bake these donuts for dogs for about 15 minutes. Once finished, allow them to cool completely before frosting. Sprinkle the bacon bits on top for added decoration. If you’re looking to cut some calories, you can skip the topping.
