We definitely don't need an excuse to spoil our canine companions, but it's especially fun to go above and beyond on a dog's birthday. I love buying my dogs a gift on their special day and taking them to play with their best furry friends. But, my favorite way to spoil them is by making this easy dog cake recipe for an after dinner treat.
You can always purchase commercial dog cake mixes (like Puppy Cake or Lazy Dog) and frosting products that are safe for dogs. But personally, I prefer the satisfaction of making the dog cake myself, and my dogs enjoy the fresh ingredients. Plus, a homemade dog cake is made with fresh and healthy ingredients, and love!
