Review: Petwell Massage Tools for Dogs

Did you know that one of the best things that you can do for your dog is give him a daily 15 minute massage? Yes, just 15 minutes per day can have a huge benefit on Fido's overall health and well-being. And, Petwell Massage Tools for dogs are an affordable way to target specific areas of your pet's body.

Massaging your dog daily is also an easy way to foster the bond between the two of you. Plus, there's a good chance you spend at least 15 minutes petting your dog every day anyway, so why not turn it into a massage session?

What are the benefits of canine massage? I'm glad you asked!

Just like humans, our dogs’ bodies get tired after a long day. Your dog will love getting a quick massage (if done properly) just as much as you would. According to experts, there are a number of very important health benefits to daily massage for dogs, including:

  • lower blood pressure
  • increase circulation
  • aid in digestion
  • strengthen his immune system
  • reduce your dog’s stress and anxiety
  • rehabilitate tired muscles and reduce pain and swelling

When massaging your dog, you’ll feel changes in his muscle mass, discover lumps and bumps, and discover areas that may be causing him pain. This allows you to be proactive about his health and seek veterinary treatment as soon as possible when necessary.

Petwell Massage Tools for Dogs Review

I received five of these Petwell Massage Tools for dogs to use with our pets. You can use any of these tools on any part of your dog's body, but they each have areas where they work best on. Also, these tools can be used on all animals, not just dogs. One of our cats loves to be massaged and some other reviewers say they work well on horses.

There are two main reasons why I enjoy using these massagers – my dogs love them all, and they're comfortable on my hands.

Of course, you want a product that your dog will enjoy, but sometimes pet products like these are not designed to be comfortable for the user. As you'll see in my video review above, all of these products have handles that are designed to fit comfortably in your hand.

Another great thing is that all of these Petwell Massage Tools for dogs are suitable for any size or breed. So, if you've got a multi-pet household like mine you won't need to buy different tools for each animal. That's a big advantage in my opinion!

I'm also thrilled that these products are so affordable. That's one thing I always look for, and I know a lot of pet owners are on tight budgets these days. No matter which Petwell Massage Tools for dogs that you choose, you can purchase them on Amazon for just $14.98! They are also available on the company's website for the same price.

This affordable price also makes the entire collection reasonable for pet owners who want to purchase more than one massager. Maybe your dog has a few problem areas or you just want to be able to change up your daily massage regimen, either way, the full set of 5 tools would only cost you about $75.

So, let's take a closer look at the tools and their intended purposes…

The Petwell Handheld Therapeutic Massager can be used to reduce stress and anxiety in pets because it provides multiple levels of massage. This type of massage tool can also help to enhance circulation and improve digestion. It has four rounded knobs that work to relieve tension in the muscles.

Each of the knobs can also be used as a finger hole to access small areas or hard-to-reach spots. I like using this as an all-around massager for our dogs and our cats. It works well for the entire body.

The Petwell Dual Point Handheld Massage Roller is designed to relieve deep muscle tension. This would be a great tool for dogs that have a particular spot that frequently gives them trouble, like the hips or shoulders. There is a large ball on one end and a smaller ball on the other, so it's versatile for use all over the body.

The larger ball works out the pain and stiffness associated with tight, sore muscles. The smaller ball is great to use on arthritic areas or trouble spots for inflammation. I usually use this on my dogs' back, neck and shoulders. If you have a dog with arthritis in the hips, it would also work well to relieve that pain.

With a similar design, the Petwell Back & Neck Reliever Handheld Massage Roller has two spinning balls that are positioned next to each other. I use this one much the same way that I use the Dual Point Handheld Massage Roller above.

It relieves muscle tension and stiffness and works well on the back, neck, and shoulders. This is another Petwell Massage Tools for dogs that work well for dogs suffering from arthritis pain. Plus, it is specifically designed to protect your dog's spine as you give him his daily massage.

I really like the Petwell All-Over Handheld Massage Roller. In my opinion, if you're only going to get one of these tools, this is the one to purchase. It works well on any part of the body, except for those very small hard-to-reach places. It provides a gentle massage that stimulates blood flow to the joints and muscles.

The smooth rolling motion of the ball inside this handheld massager is ideal for dogs with inflammation issues or joint and muscle pain. This is also a great tool to use to get your pet's blood flowing and help him warm up before a competition or sporting event. And, if you're worried about cleaning this massager, there is an easy-release feature that allows for quick cleaning of the inner ball.

Finally, we come to the Petwell Massaging Groomer De-Shedding Brush. If you have a dog that sheds excessively, don't get too excited. While this is a great massaging tool, it certainly wasn't designed specifically for grooming. Massage is definitely the first priority, but it also removes some hair in the process.

If you're specifically looking for something to remove all the shed hair from your dog's coat, this isn't it. But, if you want a tool to massage your dog and you know he could also benefit from a good brushing, this Petwell Massage Tools for dogs is what you need.

In the photo on the right, you can see the four large rounded knobs that work to massage your pet while you brush. The small bristles work to remove dead hair at the same time. This is a great tool to use with anxious or stressed dogs, and it's also the best option if you're looking to create or help build the bond between you and your canine companion.

Another thing to mention with this Massaging Groomer is that it's made of silicone, and shed hair really sticks to it. In order to remove all of the shed hair, I run this underwater after using it. It's not a deal-breaker by any means, but worth mentioning as it's a bit annoying.

As I mentioned, all of these tools are available for just $14.98 on Amazon or the company's website. They're a great deal for the money. I've been very happy with them, and they seem really durable. I have no doubt we'll be using these for many years to come.
