Review: SKYMEE Dog Camera with Treat Dispenser

Have you been wishing for a way to check in on your pet when you're not at home? Wouldn't it be nice if Fido could answer the telephone and let you know that he is okay? While we have yet to create a device that allows us to have an actual conversation with our dogs, there are pet cameras (like the SKYMEE Dog Camera) that allow you to check in on your dog when you're not home.

I've used a pet camera to keep an eye on my dogs for many years. It gives me peace of mind to know that I can check in to see what they bark at and what they are up to throughout the day. I also like having the ability to send them voice messages and treats once in a while.

SKYMEE Dog Camera Treat Dispenser,WiFi Full HD Pet Camera with Two-Way Audio and Night Vision,Compatible with Alexa (2.4G WiFi ONLY) (Petalk AI) There are pet cameras available that don't offer all of the features that I just noted. However, these are my must-have recommendations. These cameras are not cheap, no matter what features they offer. So, if you're going to purchase a device like this, you should certainly get one that offers a good value for your hard-earned money.

The SKYMEE Dog Camera is new to the market, and it immediately caught my eye. It is equipped with the features that I am looking for and comes at a smaller price point than most similar products. Does it sacrifice quality to keep the cost down? I'll let you know in this detailed review.

SKYMEE Dog Camera with Treat Dispenser Review

SKYMEE Dog Camera ReviewThis pet camera has a design similar to that of other similar products on the market. It measures 5″W x 9.5″H and fits nicely on an end table or shelf. The white color and simple design will match virtually every home's décor.

The SKYMEE Dog Camera works in much the same way as other pet cameras. You plug the camera into a power source and allow it to connect to your home’s WiFi. You must have at least 2.4G WiFi in your home to use this product.

After that, you just have to download the SKYMEE app, which is free for Android and iOS devices. It only takes a few moments to connect your smartphone or tablet to the camera in your home.

SKYMEE Dog Camera Treat Dispenser,WiFi Full HD Pet Camera with Two-Way Audio and Night Vision,Compatible with Alexa (2.4G WiFi ONLY) (Petalk AI) I certainly would not call myself a tech-savvy person, and I didn't have any trouble at all getting this camera up and running. There are simple-to-follow instructions included with the camera if you have trouble getting it to connect.

The SKYMEE Dog Camera streams in 1080p HD video, which is better than the 720p you’ll find with some similar products. It also has 4x zoom and infrared LED night vision. You'll be able to check in on Fido in the dark and zoom in to see what he's up to!

In my video review above, you will see that this pet camera allows you to hear what’s going on at home and send voice messages to your pets thanks to a 2-way microphone. You’ll also receive sound and motion notifications on your phone when your pups are active.

One of my favorite features of this pet camera is that it allows you to share videos and photos on social media. You can save photos and videos to your phone or quickly share them via social media, email, or messaging with one push of a button in the SKYMEE app.

SKYMEE Dog Camera ReviewI also love the treat dispensing feature of the SKYMEE Dog Camera. For me, this is a must-have pet camera feature for two reasons – (1) it makes it very easy to train your pet to come over to the camera when he hears the ringtone, and (2) I enjoy rewarding my dogs throughout the day when I'm away from home.

It's easy to dispense treats with the push of a button in the app. The opening for treats is small (as you can see in the photo to the left), but training treats and small kibble work very well. The SKYMEE Dog Camera dispenses a few pieces of kibble at a time, which is great if you have multiple dogs.

You can purchase the SKYMEE Dog Camera on Amazon for $62.99. Some similar products sell for $200 or more. I know this is still an expensive product that certainly is not necessary to take proper care of your pet. However, if you're in the market for a dog camera, this one is a good value for the money.
