If you're planning to travel with your dog, you'll need to plan where your pup is going to sleep. Whether you are going on a long road trip or just a short camping adventure, your dog will appreciate having his own bed, like the ChuckIt! Travel Dog Bed.

You may be wondering whether your pet really needs a travel dog bed. Maybe a blanket will be good enough? Maybe you could just bring along his regular dog bed from home. There are actually a few reasons why a travel bed is a much better option.

While your dog’s regular bed may not seem bulky in your home, it is often too big and heavy for travel. Travel beds for dogs are designed to be lightweight, portable and easy to store in a car or elsewhere. In addition, travel dog beds often come with features that are important when you are on the road, like being waterproof and easy to clean.

Your dog deserves a comfortable place to rest while on the road. A folded blanket isn't going to provide the support that your pup needs. Not only are travel beds designed to keep your pooch comfy, they also provide a barrier between him and the floor or cold, wet ground.

Finally, some dogs may feel stressed when traveling. Bringing familiar things with you can alleviate some of his anxiety. Using the same travel dog bed anytime you go on the road can provide your pet with the safety and security of knowing that he always has a little piece of home with him.

ChuckIt! Travel Dog Bed Review

ChuckIt! Travel Dog BedThis dog bed features two layers of soft, double-stitched polyester. It also comes with a rip-stop nylon liner on the bottom, which is durable, dirt-resistant and water-resistant. You can machine wash the ChuckIt! Travel Dog Bed in a gentle cycle and allow it to air-dry.

I like the built-in loop, which allows you to easily hang the bed to dry. You can store it in the included nylon stuff sack to take along virtually anywhere. Despite its 39″ x 30″ dimensions, the bed only weighs 1.4 pounds.

The only drawback to this bed is the size. It's only available in this one size and color combination. The company says it's suitable for dogs weighing up to 25 pounds, but as you can see in the photo above, it works well for my 35-pound Beagle.

You can purchase this travel bed for dogs for $29.95 on Amazon right now. It's a very reasonable price, and it's think it's definitely a good value for the money. If your dog likes to chew/shred bedding, this won't be a good option. Other than that, I believe it would be a great choice for any dog.
