Recipe: Fruit Parfait Dog Treat

This time of year it's nice to give your dog a cool treat to help beat the summer heat. Cold treats are a great way to give your pup some top quality nutrition while also helping to cool him down. My dogs love these fast and simple fruit parfait dog treats and so do I!

As I mention in my video guide above, I usually add a variety of fruits and vegetables to these treats. There are many fruits and veggies that are healthy for dogs, including:

  • pumpkin
  • apples
  • blueberries
  • carrots
  • strawberries
  • raspberries
  • pineapple
  • pears
  • cucumbers

…and many more. Adding these to your fruit (and vegetable) parfait dog treats will give your pooch the nutrition he needs in a convenient snack form.

This recipe would make a tasty snack on a hot day, and it could also be added on top of dry kibble to boost your pup's nutrition.
