Air quality has become an important concern for people all around the world.
On average, the EPA says that indoor air in the United States is 2 to 5 times dirtier than outdoor air, with some homes suffering even higher ratios. This number is especially high in homes with pet dander and shed fur.
One of the best ways to keep your home clean of dog hair and to prevent allergies is to get an air purifier.
The Okaysou Smart AirMax Pro Air Purifier claims to be a great model for pet parents. The company says that it cleans pet hair and dander from the air, as well as stinky pet odors.
Having an air purifier also cuts down on the dust in your home. This means that with the right product, your cleaning time will be cut down.
You need to make sure that you buy a purifier with a coverage area at least as large as the room(s) you plan to use it in.
You will also need to consider the particle removal capacity and clean air delivery rate (CADR). Particle removal capacity shows how effective an air purifier is in removing particles of certain size.
CADR measures the overall capacity of the unit and describes how much air it can process in terms of cubic feet per minute (CFM).
Okaysou Smart AirMax Pro Air Purifier Review
My biggest worry was the noise level.
I thought about buying one for my living room, but I didn't want the noise to be a bother while the company is visiting or while I'm trying to watch television.
You can hear the sound in my video review above.
This Okaysou air purifier is much quieter than I expected. When it's running on ‘High', you can definitely hear it.
However, it shouldn't run on that setting very often, and when it's on ‘Low' it is whisper quiet.
The unit measures 19″H x 12″L x 6″W. As you can see in the photo above, it fits in nicely with any home's decor. While it's fairly small, it is a very powerful air purifier.
This is a medical grade product. It has a 5-in-1 filtration system that includes a washable pre-filter, an H13 HEPA filter, a nano ionic silver anti-bacterial filter, a premium filter and a honeycomb activated carbon filter.
In my video review, you can see the smart sensing technology that this unit uses to detect the level of contamination in your home's air supply.
The LED light on the front of the unit turns red if your air quality is unhealthy, yellow/orange if the air is moderately unhealthy, and blue when the air quality is restored to excellent condition.
You can manually set the fan level, or you can set the device to ‘Auto'.
In Auto mode, it will detect the level of pollutants in your air and adjust the fan speed accordingly.
You'll know when the air is clean because the light will turn blue.
As you can see in the photo above, there is also a built-in timer that can be set for 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours. There is also a child lock feature and a filter reset notification light.
The Okaysou Smart AirMax Pro Air Purifier cleans 100% of the air in a 1,000 square foot room in 1 hour.
It can clean 774 square feet in 30 minutes and 387 square feet in 15 minutes.
It captures 99.97% of air pollutants between 0.3-0.1 microns, which includes hair, pet fur, dust, pollen, smoke, pet dander, and household odors. It also safely breaks down harmful gases like ammonia, benzene, and formaldehyde.
This air purifier is also Energy Star certified and 100% ozone free. It even comes with a 5-year warranty.
All in all, it is one of the highest quality air purifiers for home use.
The only drawback is the price. I wasn't surprised that it sells for $179.99 on Amazon.
This is very comparable to other air purifiers of a similar size. It's cheaper than most models with the same filtration standards.
I know it's not the most affordable product, but when it comes to air purifiers, you get what you pay for. Cheaper options will have a lower particle removal capacity and clean air delivery rate.
You need to find a model that fits your budget, but you also need to be sure that you choose a product that will keep your air safe and healthy.
