Home Dog Supplies Reviews Review: Aquapaw Dog Bathing Tool

Review: Aquapaw Dog Bathing Tool

Giving your dog a bath at home isn't the easiest task. Some dogs behave better than others while in the tub, but it's still not a job that pet parents look forward to.

There are products available to help make the canine bathing process easier, and the Aquapaw is one of them.

You may have to work a bit with your dog to get him to feel comfortable with letting you groom him, but it will pay off big in the long run.

Although it's a bit of a hassle, especially if you have a dog that wiggles all over the tub, home grooming is also a great bonding experience for you and your pet.

Grooming your pet provides an opportunity for him to trust you. It will also save you a lot of money compared to taking Fido to a grooming salon. Some dogs need very minimal grooming, but every dog needs to be bathed once in a while.

Aquapaw Dog Bathing Tool Review

Aquapaw Dog Bathing ToolDog bathing day has never been one that I've looked forward to. It's always a process to get the dogs in the tub, bathe them, dry them off and then brush them. And, we have four dogs, so when I'm finished with one I have to repeat the process with 3 more!

The Aquapaw claims to make dog bathing easier, and I can definitely vouch for that!

We have a spare bathroom that we rarely use, and I leave it set up for dog bathing unless we have overnight company. It's easier than taking everything out and hooking everything up whenever I need to groom one of our pups.

Aquapaw Dog Bathing ToolYou can attach this device to a shower faucet ( or sink if you have a small breed) or to your hose hookup outside. We used it outside this summer when our Beagle was sprayed by a skunk, but I usually prefer to bathe our dogs inside.

The Aquapaw is basically a wearable rubber shower head that is a combination sprayer and scrubber. It features an ergonomic design that is one-size-fits-all. It also has an adjustable strap that wraps around your hand and locks into place to keep the scrubber securely in place.

As I demonstrate in my video review at the top of this article, you can turn the water flow on and off by making a fist and pressing the button located in the center of the palm. You can see the power button in the photo above.

AquapawUsing the Aquapaw allows you to control your dog with both hands. It also gives you the ability to soak through a dense coat quickly and rinse out shampoo much easier. My favorite thing about the Aquapaw is that it has rubber nubs that work down into your dog's coat to spread the shampoo evenly through it and massage him at the same time.

The massaging action may even comfort dogs with anxiety at bath time. The Aquapaw definitely makes bathing your pet easier, and it's affordable on any budget. You can purchase one on Amazon for $24.95.

This grooming tool also comes with a lifetime warranty on the original components and parts. I think it's definitely worth the money. In my opinion, a shower head like this one is a must-have grooming product to keep in your at-home grooming toolkit.
