Crate training is one of the most common forms of dog training, and the practice comes highly recommended by the vast majority of canine experts. However, some pet owners don't like to have a bulky crate taking up space in their living room. Once your dog is properly crate trained, the unipaws End Table Dog Crate is an option that is more aesthetically pleasing than a traditional metal dog crate.

Dogs are denning animals by nature. Wild dogs dig dens to use as a safe, secure home for their families. When done correctly, crate training your Fido will give him a den of his own right in your home that will serve as a doggy oasis. For this reason, it's not fair to your pet to get rid of his crate once he is completely house trained.

unipaws End Table Dog CrateOnce a dog no longer needs to be confined in the crate when he's left home alone, most pet owners get rid of the crate. But, keeping the crate up will provide your dog with a place to go when he wants to escape from your busy household or take a rest without being bothered.

A dog crate that doubles as furniture, like the unipaws End Table Dog Crate, allows you to keep the crate set up without giving up space in your living room. They also blend in nicely with your home's décor, unlike metal wire crates that stick out like a sore thumb.

So, with so many other best dog crates available on the market today, what makes the unipaws End Table Dog Crate different? The unique design isn't the only thing that is different about this product. There are a number of features that make it stand out from the crowd.

unipaws End Table Dog CrateThis dog crate is made of solid wood and medium-density fibreboard (an engineered wood product that is typically denser than plywood). The material is durable, and it's quite easy to clean. You can easily wipe down all parts of the crate to keep it sanitary for your pup.

unipaws End Table Dog Crate ReviewAs you can see in the photo above, one of the best features of the unipaws End Table Dog Crate is that it has two doors. The double door design makes the crate more versatile, and makes it easier to get your pet to go inside.

You'll also notice that the doors have wooden trim and metal grates. Having the metal grates all the way around makes the crate seem very open and provides plenty of airflow. Having a crate that offers so much visibility will make most dogs feel more comfortable.

The outside dimensions of the crate are 32″W x 23″D x 25.7″H, and the interior dimensions are 28.5″W x 19.5″D x 23.7″H.

Both doors also feature locking mechanisms that must be slid to the side and lifted. As I demonstrate in my video guide above, these locks are nearly impossible for a dog to open.

Another drawback to this dog crate is that it is currently only available in 1 size. It is recommended for dogs weighing 50 pounds or less, but our Labrador fits in it comfortably. She weighs about 70 pounds.

This dog crate comes with a removable bed that measures 28″ x 19″. It's only about 1.5″ thick, but the faux-sherpa cover seems to be quite comfortable. Both of our dogs enjoy snuggling on the included bed, but you could always replace it with a more plush dog bed if you prefer.

Of course, my favorite thing about the unipaws End Table Dog Crate is the fact that it doubles as a piece of furniture. It's versatile, functional and looks great in our living room! The maximum weight bearing of the top is 66 pounds, which is more than enough to hold a lamp and a few odds and ends.

The crate is available in Espresso (which is the one I have) or white. You can purchase it on Amazon for $225.99, which is quite a bit more expensive than the traditional plastic or metal crate. However, this one doubles as an end table, which makes it well worth the price to me!

If you're interested in ordering either the white or espresso crate, our friends at unipaws have offered our readers a 5% off coupon code that is valid until 3/31/19. Use code 98H6XP6X at Amazon checkout to receive the discount.
