Pests like fleas and ticks can be very harmful to your pet. They carry many diseases and will irritate your dog's skin. Preventing these pests from attacking your dog is crucial, but sometimes the preventative measures are just as harmful. Many traditional flea collars and topical treatments are filled with toxic chemicals and have been linked to numerous health issues, but Amber Crown has created a safe alternative of Natural Flea and Tick Collars.
Many veterinarians will recommend over-the-counter flea treatments for pets claiming that they are safer than the similar products you can find at the pet store. Although there may not be as many negative side effects or as many documented links to health issues, these treatments are still full of toxins and chemicals.
Amber Crown Natural Flea and Tick Collars for Dogs are an excellent alternative, and they are safe for any dog. Senior dogs, puppies and even lactating or pregnant dogs can still safely wear these flea collars. This is also an excellent choice for dogs with allergies.
I was fortunate enough to be able to try two Amber Crown Natural Flea and Tick Collars for Dogs. I'm always skeptical about products that seem too good to be true, and these collars were no exception. They sounds great, but would they actually work?

Amber Crown Natural Flea and Tick Collars for Dogs Review
We live in Maine. Although I am also concerned with fleas, ticks are a very big issue in our region. Our dense forests make the perfect breeding grounds for these dangerous pests, and lime disease, on of the most dangerous diseases carried by ticks, is also quite common in our area.
I'm going to get straight to the point with this review. I am amazed by Amber Crown Natural Flea and Tick Collars for Dogs. We've been using these on our two large breed dogs for more than 2 months now, and they have proven to be 100% effective so far.
I know what you're thinking…So what? 2 months isn't very long, how can you claim they are effective.
In the last two months we have adopted a puppy who unfortunately brought fleas into our home. I also pulled a tick off of our puppy about 2 weeks ago. We also have three cats, two of which I have already pulled ticks off of in the last two months.
Our dogs are trained to stay on our property – our 9-acre mostly wooded property. They wander through the woods for hours every day. All of our animals are equipped with flea and tick preventatives, but they have never been 100% effective.
Our cats wear quick-release flea and tick collars that we purchase through our veterinarian's office, and I've been using a homemade flea and tick repellent on our puppy daily.

All of our animals wander through the same woods. They play in the same yard, and we always take all three of our dogs for hikes and adventures at the same.
I'm confident in saying that I believe these Amber Crown Natural Flea and Tick Collars for Dogs have effectively kept pests from getting onto our dogs.
As you'll hear me explain in my video review, there used to be a pine tree forest where the Baltic Sea is now. Pine trees have a unique healing ability. When their bark gets scratched or cut, the tree secretes extra sap to “heal” the wound. Eventually, the sap runs down the tree's trunk or small hardened bits fall off and reach the forest floor.
As you can imagine, when the water came into the area to form the Baltic Sea, many of these pine sap deposits were watched onto the shores. This pine sap is collected from the shores of the Baltic Sea and is known as Baltic Amber, which are what the small crystals on this collar – 100% natural Baltic Amber.

The natural, unpolished amber releases repellent aromatic terpenes, the organic hydrocarbons produced by the pine tree which contribute to the scent.
The amber also generates static electricity, which prevents insects from clinging onto your dog’s coat.
Amber Crown Natural Flea and Tick Collars for Dogs are handmade and completely safe for you and your pets.
These collars are safe for all dogs, as I mentioned earlier, including puppies and pregnant or nursing females. They are also waterproof, odor free and do not affect your pet's sense of smell. They also come with a 100 day money-back guarantee if you're not satisfied.
One more thing I want to mention about these collars is their packaging. They come in a beautiful box wrapped in tissue paper. This would be a great gift for the pet or pet owner on your list. They're safe, healthy and unique. Not to mention, flea and tick prevention is a must for all dog owners.
The only thing I didn't like about these collars is that the leather buckle will stretch over time. It's not a deal breaker, but you do need to be sure to check the fit regularly in order to tighten the collar when needed.
Although Amber Crown Natural Flea and Tick Collars for Dogs don't look very durable – they actually look like the amber is threaded onto a thick piece of string, I was astonished by their durability. Not only was I skeptical about their effectiveness before trying them, I also figured our dogs would break both collars within 3 days of wearing them.
Our dogs wrestle ALL the time, and we have a small puppy that enjoys chewing on the necks of her big sisters. Our Labrador also gets herself into some pretty tricky situations at times and has managed to get herself stuck more than once. I didn't have any doubts that these collars would be broken in a matter of days, if not hours.
But…I was wrong. Boy was I wrong! They don't look like it, but these collars have stood up to 2 months of very intense testing from our pack. They've never broken, obviously, and our lab only managed to get hers caught once…so far. I have a small decorative metal wire fence around my flower beds (to keep the lab out).
While she was trying to wriggle through the fence, her Amber Crown Natural Flea and Tick Collars for Dogs got caught on one of the wires. It didn't break, though. As she twisted and pulled to get her head out the collar held strong and just slipped off of her head as she got herself loose.
Amber Crown Natural Flea and Tick Collars for Dogs are available in eight sizes:
They range in price from $25.97 to $32.97 depending on the size you need. Be sure to carefully measure your dog's neck, as the necklace has to fit tightly in order to be effective. You should only be able to fit two fingers between the collar and your dog's neck. These collars are effective for up to 12 months!
