There are many different high-tech dog collars on the market, and they all work in different ways. Some can be used to train dogs, some are for monitoring their health, and others are for keeping them in a certain area. Now, one company is taking technologically advanced collars to the next level with a smart collar that can do all of that and more!

DogTelligent has created The Connected Collar which provides owners with an easy way to improve their dog’s quality of life, and a simpler way for them to keep track of what is going on with their canine companion. The sleekly designed collar syncs with a smartphone app, as well as the internet, to give dog owners all the information they need at the click of a button.

The collar comes in small, medium, and large sizes, and each collar can be easily adjusted so they will fit any size dog. It is equipped with micro-speakers, an ultrasonic training whistle, integrated LED lights, and anti-barking technology.

The collar is waterproof and shockproof. It is also made extremely durable to combat the wear and tear of daily use of highly active dogs. The company has planned to make The Connected Collar a platform to activate and communicate with a future family of connected products as well.

The DogTelligent app makes training simple with its pre-programmed commands including sit, stay, come, and down. The Connected Collar’s ultrasonic whistle and built-in vibration signaling are similar to what professional dog trainers’ use. The ultrasonic whistle can not only used for training purposes, but can also be set to automatically detect and deter excessive barking.

The Connected Collar can also be used to monitor your dog’s health. The app lets owners store and share veterinary records, and it monitors activity levels so your vet can actually see how much exercise your pet is getting. The app will also notify users when shots and vaccinations are due.

The Virtual Leash and Fence Technology that DogTelligent has built into the collar allows owners to keep their dog safe anywhere they go. The Virtual Fence will turn your home’s Wi-Fi network into a watch dog that will notify you if your pet leaves the approved zone. The Virtual Leash allows your dog to roam freely within a safe distance, but they will be signaled with a combination of whistles and vibrations if they get too far away.

The collar is equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular connectivity and is currently only in pre-production stages. The patent pending collar is available through the company’s crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo. DogTelligent has already received a large part of the funding needed and hopes to have the device available for consumers in the near future.
