For pet owners, having a plan is particularly important because it's not uncommon for dogs to be left behind by their owners when disasters happen.

In today's solo podcast, I'm discussing this specific subject and how you should prepare for disasters and emergencies as a family with pets: having a plan of evacuation, knowing where the emergency animal shelters are or shelters that will accept both you and your pets, putting together an emergency kit for yourself and the dog, and more.
