We all know that brushing our dogs' teeth daily is essential, yet some of us still often forget. However, proper dental care is far more important than some pet owners even realize. When ignored, it can cause many health problems that go far beyond just oral health – studies have shown that poor dental care in dogs results in liver disease, heart disease, and even cancer.

To further emphasize that point and discuss how this happens and how pet owners can prevent these problems and better care for their dogs' teeth and gums, I spoke with Dr. Danielle Bernal, DVM from WHIMZEES and Wellness Pet Foods. She better explains everything about pets' dental health and care and provides some tips on how to make brushing your dog's teeth a more enjoyable process.
